Introduction to 0xWhale

What is 0xWhale?​​

0xWhale is an open, non-custodial, transparent and interoperable market making infrastructure. Its aim is to provide any type of investors with the best market making strategies tailored to their needs (yield, liquidity).

Why do we need that?​​

Traditional market-making has been divided into centralized entities and Automated Market Makers (AMMs). Both approaches have their drawbacks:

• Centralized Players: They are often not accessible to retail investors due to high initial investments. Additionally, they operate in an opaque environment, and positions are usually not publicly available. This coupled with custody risks, as funds are held on centralized exchanges, and limited composability, brings many risks to the market.

• Decentralized AMMs: Although they have solved issues like openness and custody risks, they have been found to provide poor performance, on average negative returns with high risk. Many AMMs have over-simplified strategies that don’t adapt to the complex nature of the market.

Our Solution​​

0xWhale has an innovative approach by using a non-custodial Request-for-Quote (RfQ) market-making infrastructure. What sets us apart:

• Optimal Models: 0xWhale incorporates state-of-the-art market-making strategies based on stochastic control theory. This allows LPs to passively benefit from optimal liquidity services.

• Adaptive and Efficient Strategies: Our infrastructure moves quotation off-chain, allowing for deployment of sophisticated market-making strategies, adapting to market conditions.

• Built-in Safeguards: We include protective modules such as the max drawdown circuit breaker, last look, and other dynamic forms of funds protection. This new standard of security improves the safety of the funds.

• Transparency and Composability: Our liquidity pools are represented as ERC-20 tokens, ensuring auditability, and composability.
